The Yamaha 70 hp, 60 hp and 50 hp Midrange four strokes are the go-to outboards for family, fishing and fun. Light and powerful, they sport 1-liter displacement, single-overhead-camshaft designs and electronic fuel injection. They deliver quick starts, high performance and incredible efficiency for aluminum fishing boats, pontoons and fiberglass boats. They also offer incredible trolling flexibility with Yamaha’s exclusive Variable Trolling RPM Switch. In fact, the four-stroke 25 hp, previously a midrange outboard, is now so light, it’s jumped to our portable family. With forward-mounted controls and optional power tilt, they make operation easy—perfect for spending a full day fishing the lake or skimming the marsh with your decoys. The V6 V MAX SHO® has transformed the game with its 4.2-liter big-bore displacement, signature four-stroke fuel economy and a hole shot that’s up to 13 percent faster than two strokes. Now that anglers have experienced the best of both worlds in one outboard, they won’t settle for anything less than V MAX SHO performance. Now, we’re raising expectations even higher—with a 25-inch shaft option for both the V MAX SHO 200 and 250 models. That makes it an even better choice for anglers fishing bigger waters on 25-inch-transom boats such as deep-V hulls, bay boats, flats boats and multi-species craft.

The In-Line Four V MAX SHO four strokes have achieved the unthinkable—packing signature V MAX SHO hole shot and acceleration into streamlined designs. This powerful family now includes the all-new I-4 V MAX SHO 90, which packs the biggest punch of any 90-horse on the water. Overall, this series of 1.8- and 2.8-liter dynamos features a surprising tech package with 16 valves, single- or double-overhead cams and electronic fuel injection—for maximum efficiency and high performance. This makes the I-4 V MAX SHOs perfect for smaller bass, flats and bay boats and other performance hulls. With the option of a 25-inch shaft for all of our I-4 V MAX SHO outboards, anglers prowling big waters on multi-species, bay and flats boats have a competitive edge that runs deeper than ever.

Yamaha Outboards Jet Drive 105

JET DRIVE

Mechanical: 150 hp Mechanical or Tiller: 115 hp, 90 hp, 60 hp, 40 hp

Yamaha’s Jet Drive four strokes, can boldly go where no propped outboard would dare. Shallows. Rocky-bottom rivers. Shoals. White-water rapids. They’d all prove treacherous for a propeller-driven outboard, but a jet drive is all over it. Prop-free, you can “off-road” without worrying about breaking a prop on rocks and other underwater obstructions. So, while you may be giving up the prop, you’re gaining a whole lot of freedom, with powerful, fuel efficient Yamaha Jet Drives available in 150, 115, 90, 60 and 40 horsepower.

Yamaha Outboards High Trust 60

HIGH THRUST FOUR STROKES

Mechanical or Tiller: 60 hp, 50 hp, 9.9 hp Mechanical: 25 hp

Yamaha’s High Thrust four strokes, are built for jobs that call for more muscle—like pushing a heavy pontoon, adding extra kick to a multi-species boat or maneuvering a sailboat through a crowded marina. Available in 60, 50, an all-new 25 and a 9.9 horsepower, their larger lower units and higher gear ratios produce substantially more thrust than conventional outboards of the same horsepower using standard propellers. In fact, when paired with our Dual Thrust propellers, (optional on T60/T50 and standard on our T25 and T9.9) Yamaha High Thrusts produce up to 60 percent more forward thrust and up to 70 percent more thrust in reverse.
